Watching: Ocean Ramsey Documentary
The documentary follows marine biologist and conservationist Ocean Ramsey as she works to change perceptions of sharks and show their vital role in our ocean’s ecosystem.
As someone who’s always been scared of sharks, this documentary completely shifted my perspective. I walked away fascinated and in awe of Ocean Ramsey and her mission. There’s nothing more inspiring than watching someone so deeply connected to their passion and determined to make a difference.
The footage of Ocean Ramsey swimming alongside great whites is goosebumps worthy.
Listening: Mel Robbins
I have mentioned Mel Robbins a few times and for good reason. If you have not read her book “The Let Them Theory” I highly recommend it. Her podcast is equally as good and it’s like a pep talk you didn’t know you needed. Mel provides practical advice and whilst her main theme is mindset & motivation it’s not too OTT and I like how she blends it with humour and science back tools too
This is my favourite episode from Mel recently. It’s with Emma Grede, another podcast host who I absolutely love for motivation and grit.
Reading: My Substack, The Mother Manual
In many ways, I started this Substack just for myself. This space lets me share things that don’t always fit on the Mother SPF socials, such as personal reflections or odd joys that bring me inspiration.
I’ve always believed there’s nothing cooler than caring and sharing, and after years of customers, friends, and even strangers reaching out for my thoughts on clean beauty, supplements, rituals, and the realities of running a business, I felt like I needed a home for it all. That’s how my Substack, The Mother Manual, came to be.
