Do you offer samples?

We do not provide samples. Please see if there is a stockist near by you where you should be able to try a tester. 

Is MOTHER SPF regulated?

Yes, MOTHER SPF is regulated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), which enforces some of the strictest sunscreen regulations in the world. We comply with the Australian Standard AS/NZS 2604:2012 and are registered with the ARTG.

Is MOTHER SPF cruelty free?

Absolutely. We never test on animals — only on willing humans.

Is MOTHER SPF vegan?

All our sunscreens are vegan. We only use plant-based oils and waxes, no animal derivatives or beeswax. Bees are vital to our ecosystem, so beeswax is a no-go for us.

Our Mother of Pearl drops do however contain sustainably harvested pearl powder from oyster shells.

Which Ingredients do we avoid?

We avoid ingredients that are harmful, questionable, or unnecessary. You won’t find parabens, PEGs, sulfates, GMOs, mineral oils, petrolatum, silicones, synthetic fragrance, or chemical UV filters in our formulas.

Are your ingredients natural and organic?

All of our ingredients can be found in nature and are designed to work in harmony with skin. We use organic ingredients where possible, and always choose the highest grade, sustainably sourced options available.

Does MOTHER SPF use Nano-Particles?

No. We only use Non-Nano Zinc Oxide, steering clear of nanoparticles while research continues.

Is MOTHER SPF safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Yes. MOTHER SPF is free of retinoids, BHAs, parabens, preservatives, and chemical UV filters. Always check with your doctor before introducing new products while pregnant.

Is MOTHER SPF safe to use on children?

As our all our formulations are free from retinoids, BHAs, parabens, preservatives, silicones, fragrance and chemical UV filters this means our formulations are suitable. If your child has any allergies or skin conditions we advise you to consult your doctor and show them the ingredient list. You can find a full ingredient list on the product’s page.

What skin type is MOTHER SPF for?

All skin types — including sensitive and acne-prone. Our clean, natural formulations are designed to be gentle and effective. All our formulations are non-comedogenic

How do I apply?

MOTHER SPF is oil based and water-free which means a little goes a long way - good news for your bank account, and your skin. Apply on clean dry skin as you would a moisturiser, before makeup.

Is MOTHER SPF water resistant?

Our Face and Body is certified water resistant for 2 hours, so you can frolic in a body of water, take a bath, work up a sweat, or have a drink thrown at you, all without taking home a nasty sunburn. After 2 hours a decline in SPF protection may occur, so reapply this baby. And if safety is your calling – reapply every 2 hours.

What is the expiry?

3 years from manufacturing. Please check the crimp of the tube to see the expiry date.

Do you provide samples?

Not at this time. We recommend checking with a local stockist, where testers are usually available.

How should I store my SPF?

Store in a cool, dark place. When you’re out and about, keep it in your bag rather than leaving it in direct sunlight.

Is your packaging sustainable?

Yes. Our tubes are made from Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastics, helping to close the loop on packaging waste.

If MOTHER AUS SPF is damaged or faulty on arrival, please send a pic of the product within 7 days of receiving the goods and quote your order number and we will replace your product.
