Mothers Day Gift guide
With Mother’s Day rolling around, we wanted to share our conscious gift guide.
Unless your love language is gifts, we all know the best gift is a homemade card written by yourself (not ChatGPT), a big morning cook-up and ultimately quality time together.
And if your mum’s love language is gifts, well we’ve pulled together a few of our go-to purchases for when we want to mindfully share love without overconsumption.
I personally got excited when I saw this brand go live a few weeks ago. I love having flowers in my home but I never purchase them as I can’t justify spending so much $$ each week only to deal with the clean-up once they die within a few days. Too much admin for my liking and I know a lot of you can relate here.
Sadele offers lifelike, ultra-premium artificial flowers. Each stem is meticulously crafted with natural form and lifelike movement, offering the presence of fresh flowers without the countdown. I purchased the tulips and they bend in all the right places making them look incredibly real.
Nothing says “I love you” like helping your mum switch from harsh toxic cleaning products to natural yet effective alternatives. After all, your health is the greatest gift of all.
Koala Eco is also so beautifully branded that you feel like you’re purchasing superior skincare rather than cleaning products. They smell incredible and bring a little touch of nature into your daily routine.
Well with the name MOTHER SPF, our range could not be more fitting for Mother’s Day. Natural formulations created for all skin types, ages and suitable for mummas-to-be and babies.
My own mother adores our new Tinted SPF. She has aged extremely well (gives me hope!) but she does find that foundation settles into her crease lines. She loves our SPF as it sits on top of the skin and provides a glow without sinking into the spots you don’t want it to go.
Maison Maizen signature Gift Set
The perfect addition to your Mother’s Day breakfast, a mindful ritual that doesn’t spike your cortisol. The signature Maison Maizen matcha gift set comes complete with their top-tier Imperial Harvest Organic Single-Origin matcha and everything you need to make a perfectly silky smooth matcha at home.
I’ve tried a lot of matcha powders in my lifetime and the taste of this one is so superior. It’s a prime example that ingredient quality is everything.
If your mum is from the era when Dior and Chanel dominated the market and Chanel No. 5 was the scent, well it might be time to leave that era behind. Fragrance can be incredibly toxic and there’s no need to use these brands when natural fragrances are so beautiful these days.
Our go-to is Tulita, steeped in the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. Each fragrance is a rich remedy of flowers, plants, bark, roots and formulated to be of all-natural origin and free from harmful synthetics.
Scent is subjective so start with their starter kit and gift your mum a voucher to purchase a full-size bottle once she’s decided which scent is truly hers.
This one is maybe more specific to new mum but not necessarily. The recipes are so delicious that you don’t need to have a baby to enjoy them. It also has the best pancake recipe for you to cook up on Mother’s Day morning.
Written by qualified nutritionist Julia Tellidis and baby nutrition consultant Lauren Skora, and featuring over 100+ recipes from breakfast to dinner plus snacks and lunchboxes in between. These easy, wholesome recipes will be loved by the whole family.
It’s also my go-to gift for baby showers! Every friend has loved it.
Happy Mothers Day Mothers! xx Tandia
